Scope and Contents Consists of a cabinet card photograph depicting two Native American cavalrymen in the United States Army's 7th Cavalry Regiment Troop L. Although the two men are unidentified, they are likely Comanche, Kiowa, Apache, or Arapaho. Troop L was comprised of young men from these four indigenous groups of the Great Plains that the United States government forcibly removed to settlements surrounding Fort Sill, Oklahoma, in the wake of the Red River War.
