Biography

Grover Allen Wayward was the brother of Theresa Auchincloss, and he served as Associate Director of the Office of Facts and Figures (OFF).

Administrative Backgroud

The Office of Facts and Figures (OFF) was established in October 1941 by President Franklin Roosevelt in order to disseminate information to the American public regarding the war effort. On June 13, 1942, Roosevelt established the Office of War Information, which subsumed the Office of Facts and Figures and included the Committee on War Information Policy, of which Grover Wayward was a member.
